Why bills go wrong

Medical bills are confusing. Mistakes are common.

Most people can’t read the codes on a medical bill, and they shouldn’t have to. Here’s what we look for.

Duplicate charges

The same test, supply or service billed more than once.

Coding errors

A visit or procedure coded at a higher level than the care you actually got.

Insurance mistakes

Claims denied, processed wrong, or never sent to your insurer at all.

Inflated pricing

Charges far above what the same care usually costs.

How it works

Four easy steps to a smaller bill.

You stay in the loop the whole way, and nothing happens without your OK.

1

Tell us about your bill

Answer a few quick questions and upload your bill through our secure portal.

2

We review every line

Our coder checks your itemized bill and insurance paperwork for errors and overcharges.

3

You approve the plan

We tell you what we found and how it could lower your bill.

We get to work

We dispute errors and work with the provider or collection agency to lower your balance. You pay them directly, on the lower amount.

Questions

Good questions, honest answers.

Then you don’t owe us anything, and your deposit is refunded in full.

Often, yes. Send us the collection letter with your bill. We’ll check the original charges for errors and work with the collection agency on your behalf. If you’ve been sued over a bill, please talk with an attorney right away.

No. We never collect or hold your money. Once your balance is lowered, you pay the provider or creditor directly.

Your itemized bill (not just the summary), your insurance Explanation of Benefits, a photo of your insurance card, and any letters you’ve received about the bill.

We don’t offer credit repair. Our work is focused on the bill itself: finding errors and lowering what you owe.

Let's make that bill smaller.
